Numbers Redux Redux1:12am thursday, 19th july
Am I free of the numbers, finally? Perhaps you know of my penchant for using the numbers I see (anywhere) as an oracle of what is and is to come. Mostly, I was focusing on the numbers in my referer (sic) reports for this and a couple other sites. The daily visitor counts, page view counts, average time spent on the sites, weekly counts, the times people visited, and finally, parts of the IP addresses. I had an elaborate numerology worked out, seemingly expanding without limit. It was kinda crazy. The thing about that was, there were times when the numbers were eerily correct.... But now, I woke up and my demon was using them against me in that old argument that that I was the Antichrist (which is now getting quite old). And I took this as a final sign: this method of divination was not one that was sanctioned from up above. So I have stopped looking, as far as I can help it. Using any of the numbers I see for their intended purpose only. It’s hard, but very interesting so far. Wish me luck.

You should look for the book "Prayer Rain" - it gave me a lot of thought as to what was causing me to struggle with thoughts, or things creeping up on me, telling me things I knew were not true - and it gave me a better understanding of the power of prayer.

God uses numerology quite well throughout the bible. http://carm.org/what-biblical-numerology

The enemy likes to take whatever God uses for His glory and distorts it to keep Christ's followers from wanting to use it. Speaking in tongues for example, in the media or any movie/tv show if someone were uttering some incoherent words it was usually looking quite demonic (indiana jones and the temple of doom for example.)

Same goes with mormonism / jehovahs witnesses going 2 by 2 door to door to tell their side of the 'good news' when Jesus says "When two or more are gathered, I will be there." (and then we get back into numerology with the 2's)

Words have power, prayer is even more powerful. Speaking in tongues is a sign of the Holy Spirit and using numbers in the right context with scripture is quite useful when God is telling us something on the fly.

I think the difference is, are we seeking answers through numbers or are we seeking to glorify God through Christ and bring His kingdom on earth?

Because if you are trying to do the latter, the numbers just tend to pop up when necessary.
