My imaginary mother said to me
once, "Stop dreaming so much,
or you'll become one yourself."

My imaginary father once balanced
the whole world on the end of
a sharpened pencil, and spun it.

My imaginary twin brother looked
me in the eye, and neither of us
blinked for fifteen million years.

My imaginary world lies outside
the door of my mind, higher than
the sky, deeper than oblivion.
