One day to forget everything. One day to remember everything. It is a birthday of a special one, who was not truly born on this day. It doesn't seem to matter that much, though, that this day was created by men — it has become larger than they could have foreseen, I think. The spirit of the season! Goodwill towards all, and a time of giving that overcomes us every one! It is, I believe, that we celebrate it at all: "Joy to the world! The Lord is come; let earth receive her King!" Somehow, for whatever else it may mean to you or me, it is a sense of something greater than our own little worlds... and perhaps, that is all that counts.

Goodwill to all! Got home to find my house had been broken into and some jewellry taken, sentimental things like my engagement ring and my daughter's christening bracelet. Don't burglars even take a day off for Christmas!!

Hm. I think sometimes it's easy to think that way, Kyle, that nothing we do matters. But you feeling that way matters to me, and it matters to those who are close to you if you tell them about it. There is meaning in all things, I think, if only sometimes we give it a second look.

EVERYTHING matters. Some people are destroying everything but that doesn't mean the rest of us should stop trying.I know it's easy to be pessimistic Kyle but don't give up trying to make things better.
When it comes to the bottom line the things stolen from me are just 'stuff'. I value the fact that my daughter is alive and healthy and we love each other more than a bracelet she once wore.
