The call of the wild I hear at times, that I strip off all
my clothes, run naked through the woods, eat of an animal's raw flesh.
It is not to ask, why does it call me, but what makes me stay?

Delusion calls like the sirens. It is so enticing, lulling, drawing one away from the shore into the fluid ephemeral waves of fantasy. It gently lulls one into the life of dreams where even misery has a quality of beauty. The tragic becomes heroic, the inept take on eloquence. All the ugliness of the world is transfigured into imperatives, and imperatives into the structure of a sublime philosophy. Who would not wish to drift in those waves?
